looking to spend a max of 4k. I've been looking for an fj60 for a few months and my car will be sold this sun/monday so that means tues i have to look for a cruiser.
I'm looking for an 85-87 so i can do the h55f tranny swap with ease. Will consider an earlier model if the price/condition is right. Must have working a/c (or easily repairable a/c). I've got a very young son and the summer heat in the south can be very harsh.
I don't have the time to drive more than a couple of hours to purchase a vehicle so if your a good ways off and don't mind making a final road trip with your cruiser that's cool with me. As soon as the guy purchases my car on sun/mon i will have cash in hand for the purchase a cruiser. (pending the buyer does not flake, he has a good reputation on honda-tech.com but lets face there are flakes everywhere)
I've been into the turbo honda scene for years and now that i have a 16month old son a small honda is not all that functional anymore. I want something to commute to work a few days a week and when the weather is too bad to ride my motorcycle (which doesn't happen often)
Come spring I'll be loading it up at least twice a year with kayaks and a camping equipment to drive the family to the keys (the reason why the h55f tranny swap is so important) so if your looking for someone who is not going to be cutting up your beloved cruiser to make a project out of it I'm your buyer.
Some minor body rust is ok, i prefer no rust but being on the east coast i realize that's very hard to find. Must be in reiable driving condition. Common oil leaks (quart less a month) are expected. I'm not looking for anything lifted but a roof rack would be nice. Looking for something as close to stock as possible (other than mods to make the vehicle more economical/hwy friendly) Just looking for a clean cruiser in overall good conditon.
If your into trading I have a nice 06 Ducati Multistrada 620 Dark with a 750 big bore kit/termi exh, re mapped ecu 11,xxx miles on it that i would be willing to trade for a cruiser.
