Royal Blue Area ride January 19-21 (MLK weekend). We plan to camp at the Ride Royal Blue Campground at I-75 Exit 144 and explore the area. None of us have ridden this area before, so if you have please share what info you have with us and if you have a friend that has ridden the area even if he is an ATV rider he is welcome to come along.
Rob and I will probably head up to the campground Friday afternoon.

I am trying to contact a friend who lives near Blue to see if and how well he knows the trails...

I'll post up as soon as I hear something...

I'm in......Ashley will be in school by then.....maybe dad & I.

:whoops: So for us folks that dont know where Jellico & Caryville are...how far away from Chatt town is this?

It is apparently time for a quick lesson in interstate mile markers/ exit numbers. They start at 0 on the South/ West end of the state and increase as the road travels North/East and the exit numbers are assigned the number of the closest mile marker. So in this case we are going to exit 144 and the I-24/I-75 split is mile marker 3 the distance to exit 144 is 141 miles from there.

so north of Caryville but south of JCo...hmm, that's the "As Seen On TV" exit store! my fav!

...you must have overlooked the Adult store on the other side of the interstate.

It's possible I guess................for a blind man!!! :flipoff2:

No worries...I can handle the abuse...Im a firm believer in stupid questions deserving sarcastic responses...:flipoff2: Just ask my kids!

Problem is, the OMG size cross Im thinking of is SOUTH of Knoxville...not North...on the West side of the I-state. Is there another one?

Yeah, there's one north of K-town also. At the Royal Blue exit.

I talked to Rusty Dunn to be sure on the trail passes. If you have a TWRA Sportsmans License, or a Hunting License and WMA permit you are covered. Otherwise you need to buy the OHV Pass. These are available anywhere they sell TWRA licenses.

I have a TWRA RES COMBO HUNT/FISH license. Will this work alone? Or would I need WMA permit also?

What is WMA permit?
