Not real beadlocks, not sure of the brand. Looks like you may have found them.

Also found out this truck is equipped with Rancho RS9000's. Any opinions on these?

I own a '93 300ZX and participate in a local owner's club and on-line group (twinturbo.net). A big contingency of owners prefer the stock look that Nissan produced and body kits, etc., are discouraged and sometimes ridiculed. Since I'm new to the cruiser community, does that mean the running bars are in the same class as aggressive body kits on a Z? I was kinda likin' them...

Same question on the springs. Is it that they give you more ground clearance and a different look because of the lift? Since I'm not off-roading, do I really want the springs or the stock ride?

Found another champaigne (sp?) colored '89, about $2500 cheaper than the one above, basically same miles (155K) but supposedly has a little rust, not sure how extensive...

Thanks again, everyone, for your help in my search. Getting closer...

I also own a '93 300ZX, so I'm sure that we can see things on the same level...

Most guys here don't like the running boards because when taken offroad they usually end up causing more damage to your rockers panels than not having them there in the first place.

As far as looks, its totally personal.

Bottom line... if you aren't going off-road, keep 'em if you like 'em.

Springs- Take it from me, I had every intention of taking my 60 offroad when I first got it, but soon realized from this board that I need it to be mechanically sound before i ventured too far from the beaten path. Unfortunately this was after I had already purchased new OME springs...

If it were me I would keep the stock ones for now, unless you have cash to burn, and the ride will be a lot softer stock

stock springs, 33x9.5 tires, OME shock, rides great and IMOP look like it should.

Nice grass! ;)

Seriously, those are some nice-looking cruisers, esp the one on the near end...

hey pimp-
whats the lift on the 60? 62 looks stock? do you have plenty of clearance with the 33"s on the stock ride?

the 60 is OME heavy/medium with 33x10's. the 62 in stock, tires fit just fine, no issues at all.

thanks. all three of those are sweet looking rigs. still trying to figure out how and if i'll lift my 60. the dream is to put 33" x 9.50's on her. she sags a little with the flat springs. might be an issue. your springs are looking good. thanks for the input.

Thanks, everyone, for the feedback. I think I'll keep looking. I tend to get infatuated with the first vehicle I see, so need to just take a deep breath and be patient...

I know exactly what you are talking about, the first 62' I saw I bought and probably paid to much. I like this trucks paint job, but I would try to be patient and keep looking, there are better ones out there!

Ok, folks, here it is... FINALLY!

Me and Chuck (Chuck trying not to cry while handing over the keys). Thanks, Chuck!!!

Driving back to Chapel Hill. Boy is that OME suspension a hard ride on I-85 south of Richmond...

Frank, my best friend who drove up to Yorktown with me and drove my car back. We're both a little weary!

The Yorktown FJ62 at its new home in Chapel Hill. Did I say "Thanks, Chuck!!!"?

Final note: I drove the Cruiser up to the local theater to pick up my 15-yo daughter. About a dozen of her friends were standing around around waiting for rides when I drove up. More than a few were yelling in the window to me "I love your truck!!!" and "Awesome!!!" Never even got that with my 300ZX....

Paint is all original, "champagne". NO RUST! (Woohoo!)

Just needs a good working over with cleaner/polisher wax, but first on the list is to pull the alternator on my 300ZX (rats).

It's got 32x11.5 BFG AT's. No idea what the lift is, but was told it's mild in front and heavy in back, w. greasable shackles. From the ARB catalogue it looks like 2" in front and 3" in the rear.

Truck looks great! I decided to wax mine up and get the a/c blowing ice cold. Probably will keep it now. :)
