A few points for clarity

Just a few items to keep you informed:

Keep in mind I am just one guy and not a staffed company with a warehouse full of parts. I build to order and make extra therefore I have some parts ready to go and some not. If you are in a hurry for a part holding up your project let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Building the bed pictured above was a lengthy affair but the prototype stage is over now so moving forward my turn around time will be much faster.

The above posts show every part of the LPB bed. The photos above are of the prototypes and/or first run. Small changes will be made as necessary to improve the product. Such changes include moving/ enlarging holes for a better fit, changing to a zinc plated material rather than raw steel where possible, adding pre-punched plug welding holes and any other issues that crop up.

I will make virtually any custom one off part you may need if I can - depends on the tools I have. My future plans include reproducing the 45 short bed and building myself an expedition trailer loosely based on the M416 and M101 military trailers.

Currently I am rebuilding and modifying my 78 FJ45. I hope to have it completed for the 2010 FJ45 run. Any funds created by selling parts are directed to that rebuild. It keeps the :princess: happy.

You can contact me on this thread, via PM message or at my e-mail ( ksteinhauer @ telus.net)

:) Have a nice day and thanks for checking out my stuff :)

Kevin,
The work looks fantastic. I'm planning a bed installation project, and I now have a used bed on the way to me for evaluation which does not include a gate. HJ47 pointed me to this thread, and ERICS is going to snap some shots of some tailgates that he has, but going "new" might be interesting.

One question. I noticed the etching for the Toyota logo on the back gate in your prototype. Do you have dies to actually stamp the logo? If not, would it be possible, or practical to attach the logo-stamped sheet metal from an original gate to one of your gates? Thanks!
