LOL! My father was an OB/GYN and his advice to me and to all his patients who asked was to wait at least one year after you think you've had your last just in case you change your mind or something like SIDS happens and you want to have another. My youngest (now 17) was born 12/23 - I was at the Urologist for my vasectomy in April - four months later! I wasn't waiting!!! :D

Along the lines of SoCal 80's folks becoming famous, I opened up my latest newsletter from Scouts West, an International Harvester enthusiasts club, and there's an article on the Calico cleanup. Who should I see lounging on his tailgate yapping on his cell phone but our very own SOCALFJ! Congrats Dave!

Here's the online version:

No pics of Mo pulling out 2 tons of rusted metal, though. What gives?

Yeah, that was my thought, too. All that's missing is Smitty there with his Grey Poupon!

Allright Dave! I can vouch that he was working as hard as the rest of us.

I find it terribly ironic that there was not a single corn binder in the whole article. 1 40, 1 80, 1 Chevy, 2 Unimogs, 1 Toyota mini, 1 thing ( red tube buggy), and some Odessy looking things. Go figure.:D

You're right Mo, there was a noticable absence of Scout's out there, but I'm hoping that this article will light a fire under the Scouts West group and they'll be out there next year.

Binder people are great, but I have been neglecting the Scouts West forum for a while. I barely have time to keep up with all the activity in the SoCal 80's area of MUD! However, I will post up an invite to next year's cleanup over there when the time comes.

Now I have to decide which vehicle to drive next year.

Hmm, can an 80 tow a Scout? How about vice versa?

You could pull the 800 with the 80! Just not fast up the Cajon pass. :D

I am sitting here looking at the July issue of 4Weel Drive & Sport Utility and there you all are? Not sure if you can find it on the newstands yet, my records show it hits on 5/8/07. So keep any eye out for it.

Looking forward to seeing it. Of course I always get my subscription delivery after the newstands. :flipoff2:
