I cut part of my front bumper slats so i can reach my hand in from the front: Media - 200 series picture thread - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/200-series-picture-thread.257436/post-16029136Did you guys solve for clutch access somehow?
My hand fits perfect on the driver side lower grille slot to free spool the winch running the WARN VR12S.Did you guys solve for clutch access somehow?
I left that whole top horizontal plastic panel off. Not ideal, but workable. The hidden winch mount is a total compromise, since you can't see the spool.I cut part of my front bumper slats so i can reach my hand in from the front: Media - 200 series picture thread - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/200-series-picture-thread.257436/post-16029136
I switched from a used TT mount on hand to the new SDHQ before I did my installation. Very pleased with the unit, seems to have more stiffness built into it than the TT frame plus has pickup points for the bumper fascia bottom and ends.Does the lower bumper cover have any mounting points with this winch mount?
I see the SDHQ winch mounting set up has provisions for the lower bumper cover to mount. Not seeing this on the TT.
Nice !As said before, thanks for the tips.
Completed last week with some different components and additions. Stole your idea for the box, fits great in that area with a simple bracket.
