Yet another A/C thread.... (1 Viewer)

I'm nearly ready to pull the A/C and heater box out of my HJ60, destined for the FJ60 body. I've read as many threads as I can, and I think I have everything sorted, but I'd like to double-check with the MUD knowledge to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Before I clean everything, and button the dash all back up, I have the following to go back in:

- new evaporator
- new pressure switch
- new expansion valve
- flushed and pressure tested heater core
- new O-rings, specific for R134a coolant

Is there anything else I should look at doing while I'm here? In particular, maybe @Aloha Jen could chime in as you've recently done all this, and on and HJ60 in particular. Thanks for any help.

Looks like you’ve covered most of the AC stuff. If you haven’t already, you may want to take the time to change out you AC duct connection seals.

Not much else technical to add, but hear are some assembly photos of my AC stuff before it went in.

Oh, and if you need to inspect or look for leaks back up in there once assembled, try and find a small and/or flexible helper!

Thanks for posting. It helps to see the whole assembly before going back in it's home. I'm definitely going clean and re-seal everything before going back in. One more picture to post....I think my HJ lived under a tree for a long time. Not sure how clearly you can see it, but the blower fan is FULL of pine needles....will be fun to clean all this out...
