SO I know the LX can't register 2 sets of id's. I have winters and summers on oem rims with oem sensors. I drove all winter with the (!) on my dash. Looked forward to putting back my summers on (which worked fine before the swap). Just put the summers on, and they are showing the same (!). Even after holding the reset switch. I would have thought that at least the summer set would work properly and the winter set would be the (!) problem. Help? TIA

Did you do all the later steps in this video?

I don’t know if that’s a trigger or not (brake), but it could be a way they make sure it cam’t Be inadvertently done. :meh:

no difference. In fact, no matter how long I hold it, no blinking 3 times like the video. No blinking at all

i have a honda pilot with 10 year old tires and tpms. Never had a dead battery. These are 1 year old...

The video makes it look like the button blinks three times. But what actually blinks three times is the ! indicator on the dash.

The procedure for my 2013LC is simpler, but basically the same:

Are you sure you have the ignition ON? With foot off the brake, push the Start/Stop button once to put in ACC mode, then press again to put in ON mode.

Simple summary:

1. With foot off brake, press Start/Stop button twice - ignition is now ON

2. Press and hold SET button until (!) indicator blinks three times

3. Release SET button, leave ignition ON, wait about 3-4 minutes to allow initialization to complete

4. Press Start/Stop button to turn ignition OFF

To confirm...I just did it on my 2008 LC.
Works as described in video, but it did take about 4 minutes before all RPMS sensors were “found” afterward. Did it with engine running...in park.

Again, the video is a little misleading because they make it look like there’s A light on the button itself. There isn’t. Just the blinks of the yellow dash light.

no matter how long i hold the button, the two tpms indicatiors (!) and the triangle ! never blink. I just held it til my hand went numb with the ignition in on position...

these were sitting in garage all winter, one of them actually got down to 10 psi. I put 1-2psi in all the other ones as well. I would think adding 22 psi to a tire should wake up anything that was sleeping.

the sensors proabaly need to be reprogramed. did you try to wake up the sensors by letting air out of the tires

If you indicator doesn’t even blink...then it seems to me it’s a problem separate from the stems in your tires. The system reset routine should at least activate even if NO tire TPMS sensors or tires are present.

That plus the odds of all 8 tire stems being dead at once is basically zilch. My stems are originals, meaning 11.5 years in, & all 5 work fine.

this only started when i switched wheels and tires from summer to winter wheels and tires. And now switching back. Literally nothing else happened.

I don’t pretend to know... but it seems like that would also be consistent with an issue other than your tire stems. Could be as simple as a bad button or button connector... :meh:

I’d reset activation isn’t happening, then the greatest newest stems won’t matter.

i am 99% sure that can't be it. Fine for 5 years, until I buy another set of oem wheels/tires/tpms. Swap the set, drive the winter knowing the truck cant learn the new id's. Swap them back just now thinking since it worked for 5 years I can just hit the button and I am good to go - not so much. Dealers here charge $130 to reprogram. Which still won't solve my issue as I will be doing the same thing in the fall... I hate tpms..

:meh: -< Dealer time, I guess...

Will be curious to know what they come up with.

I hate tpms..

so why not remove the sensors and just be done with them? if the light being on is an issue you can get a small section of pcv pipe, cap bpth ends off with the sensors inside, drill a hole on one of the caps to install a tire stem and just pressurize the pipe to fake out the system
