Can't speak to the other questions, but I see no reason why it shouldn't be.

YouTube - 950+HP Toyota Landcruiser MoTeC by Kami

There's more than 1 person in the middle east getting 1k+ HP out of the 1FZ, and the transfer case takes it just fine.

You need to put as Asterisk beside that...

B/c most of the vids on youtube of a landcruiser burning out, smoke is only coming out of the rear tires...

Too many to list, and they neuter even the 100 and up series.

Plus there is an interview with a guy in Dubi/ Soudi that built an 80 and I'm pretty sure he says it 2WD only...

If not, the VC and TC (Traction Control) would be hitting the front tires... So I'm gonna say no, there is no proof that the Center Diffs are still in.

And did they even get the AWD LC in those places? Did the AWD come with 5 speeds? Or was it a part time case?

Im interested in what you find, I may be in a similar boat.

I dont mean to sidetrack, but what would be really sweet would be a part time/full time case, where you could run 2WD, 4WD or AWD with selectable hubs (which I know your not doing).
In calgary we have snow and ice a good part of the year, and dry pavement the rest.

Working on it...

Heep NP242..

IIRC, there is also a "revolver" or "Over Under" for Heep cases that lets you clock them up-side-down.. All NP cases that I know of can be clocked. This just lets you keep on clock'n:D

It also came behind the AW4 tranny,,, oh here! :p

Bump for any info on a spline count!!!...

(Holy Dead Thread!)

- P.S. Why do we categorize threads by time rather than by the systems in the FSM? So many dead ends...

I'm going to guess no one ever found a way to mate a gm t-case to the 80 series t-case?
