yep, pull the rear cover, hook up jumper wires to the motor and hook to a battery:D that's about as manual as it gets unless you get non us manual parts.

I'm praying that is all I'm looking at having to do. I'm THAT mechanically inclined:lol:

I just know my luck is that the gear is broken and the window motor is dead:whoops:

So in the case the motor is dead, is there a manual method to getting the window up and staying?

:hhmm: probably not worth it...just get some duct tape and plastic and drive like you live in my neighborhood. Just went out and took off my access plate to reminisce...only thing I can think of is pulling the locking tabs where the regulator rollers are and working the rollers out then pushing up the window and bracing it up...don't know if that will work. Only time I have worked on mine I pulled the whole thing and you don't want to do that before a drive. There were a couple of threads recently on broken windows that might shed some light.

put your bottle jack in there and start cranking!

OK, with the rear door access panel off, you'll have to reach in under the window, find the little bent-down tabs on the two sliding clips that hold the bottom of the glass channel to the two small C-channels that the two arms articulate with...
Wiggle those little c-channels off and you can slide the window up and down by hand from inside.

PigHead..........I worked on those blasted tabs for about 10 hours and could not get mine to budge..........do you have any words of wisdom?......pix?........rear window motor was corroded to where I could not hot wire it down....:bang:....but the window is in decent shape:hhmm: tried tapping the tabs inwards with a brass drift and a mallet among other attempts........it is a very awkward area to work in........any pointers will be appreciated

i had to use a long screwdriver as a punch and a hammer to tap the tabs out on mine

if you can't get them, then breaking them becomes more and more NOT a concern. What I was told was take a piece of twine, make a loop using your favorite non-slipknot, hook on the the tab, and pull towards the opposite side (i.e. tab on right side, pull left)
