Enjoy the FJ43 pictures and the overhaul pictures. I have purchased 5 FJ43s which I am on track to have sold by year end 2014. As far as I know that makes my company number one importer of restored LHD FJ43 models into the US. This primarily where I am focused now and am certain to do more in 2015.

Going forward our trucks will follow the them of these two below. The 1979 and up models will mostly likely be lifted with slightly bigger tires and have fun options and accessories. The 113,000 mile truck on the right we will do full soft tops and keep them as original as we can.

I hope my hogging up the bandwidth on here has not annoyed you all too much but most people find these trucks interesting. These photos are from TODAY as we work on 3 FJ43s. Thanks

1978 FJ43 Sky Blue Project "Marina". They call it Azul Marina which sounds nice. Marina blue. This truck shifts like a new truck. Steering is not power assisted which I am starting to actually prefer with the skinny tires. Truck gets new 7.50 x 16 tires like the red one on my avatar and a one week mechanical review plus a bunch of details. Top turned out very nice. I am actually switching to another provider to push the quality further.

Will cry when I sell this truck as I don't think I will ever find one like it in the color or condition. We think the odometer rolled over to 82,000 km making it 182,000 km or 113,000 original miles. interior is all original and has the tools and jack from when it was new in 1978. Never a dent on this truck.

Red 82 FJ43 getting some options. This is more of a typical high miles FJ43 that has to be restored to bring back to 100%. We spent 2 months on it doing an thorough frame on restorIt did have perfect original floors but lacked interior and plenty of mechanical work. That said it is a 1982 model and I turned away 5 others to pick this one.

Installed a simple AC/heat system. Underhood detailing is pretty good. We pulled the radiator and went through it. Looking back I should have replaced the radiator top for aesthetics but we are nearing completion.

Red 1982 FJ43 exports with hard top with matching painted sides, pick up soft top (almost done!) and a 'coastrunner' top (name change!). Wheels look less dark in real life. In terms of the amount of work I put into it and the model of the truck and how it is turning out this is my best truck so far. It sits perfectly on the custom lift and the ride is very very smooth.

I agree that the Cruisers appear to be top notch however it is hard to tell if this thread is dedicated to "Overton's" desire to find a particular Cruiser or if it is a two page continuous advertisement for someone's import business.

its the 2nd.......just pushing his rigs for sale......its everywhere.

but the OP and the poster may be a match made in heaven

Actually I screwed up while I was reading this and thought people were asking how the soft tops (meaning the parts themselves not the trucks) were made as I get constantly asked for them. I was also working down in Colombia and excited about the trucks. I have imported 7 trucks and sold 6. Zero sold to any forum members. I became a supporting vendor to support the site. Don't really see that this is a market for my trucks and I do such low volume anyhow but I certainly do like to show them off.

If you do want an FJ43 I will have done 5 LHD restored FJ43s by the end of 2014. I have 2 to 3 FJ43s slated for early 2015. They will be 1980 and up models with full soft tops in the $30,000 to $40,000 and up range. All my trucks get atleast a 30 day overhaul including the mechanical before we export them. I then contract with a Tampa mechanic to review anything we missed before we sell the truck to the client.

I have this 1982 FJ43 soft top in red being held for me by the seller. I go see it early January 2015. power steering. super clean floors. late model dash. Needs our new interior, tires and mechanical review to make it perfect. Asking $39,900 delivery March 2015. Hood tie downs are wrong location too. This is a very clean candidate though.

1982 red FJ43 soft top. Floors are perfect and paint looks very good. I likely will pull the interior and do my interior which is nicer. lose the speakers in the door and put them under the dash. Likely the dash pads not original probably remove them.
