There were different ignition setups on different years of BJ60's. The '81 did not have a "SuperGlow" system so the relay is likely different. I don't have my parts microfiche here so I can't check right now. I know I have an extra one I'm just not sure yet if I'll need it or which one it is!

Is that the truck you got parts from me for?

Hey Charles,
How is the hip?

Yes... Same rig. I'll get it on the road one of these decades. I plan to operate the glow plugs manually.

I just would like to shut it off w/ the key (instead of using a choke cable) and the overfuel function would surely help cold starts.

Thanks,
Mac

Hip is great!! I couldn't be happier!! NO pain and I can enjoy walking again.

I'll check on my relays but that won't happen till late July at the earliest.

Good to hear the hip is doing well!

Are you headed south in July?
Want a passanger? :-)

If it was month later i'd be finished w/ my schooling (M/MIS) and ready for a road trip.

if you are traveling... have a good trip!

Yep, planning to head south in July but it will be by air. The truck is already there and my wife is driving it around.

You can see come pictures on our website posted in my signature line. The truck is on the ferry crossing the Rio Pasion at Sayache in the Peten in Guatemala! My avitar is at the entrance to Tikal National Park.

Hello,
I am doing the same conversion, 24v to 12 v. I was in the shop 'bout an hour ago doing the same conversion. I was comparing the wire colors for the 12 & 24 relays, exactly the same color wires, the connectors had one wire(same color) in different positions. A sharp pick to depress the lock quick pull and place in the correct socket and its done! Easy money!
