So I was driving to work this morning and I noticed that my steering wheel is off center from my body as i drive. By a good 5 -6 inches to the left. if I scoot over on the bench so the steering wheel is centered on my chest my shoulder is literally 1 inch from the B pillar. I have broad shoulders but not this broad. And I am sitting on a slope from how the bench has broken in, lol

Is this a common thing or is the wear pattern in my pigs seat just that far towards the center?

I generally ride with my shoulder just off the B pillar. Some people don't like it, but it gives you good control when your rig gets off camber left.

Glad you brought this up!

I, too have the sloping-toward-center seat that screws my spine up if I try to sit upright.

So I drive leaned over ghetto-style with my right elbow leaning on a console in the center of the bench.

I had the seat re-covered in a nice charcoal cloth right after I got the rig (before I really drove it), and after noticing the "sloping towards center", pulled the seat out to check it out underneath for broken springs, etc. All was good and intact underneath.

So occasionally I fold up a towel and sit on it under my right butt cheek to try to level myself out, but that's a hassle. And stuffing a towel under the springs underneath the seat has proved impossible.

So I think after all my other mods are complete (10 yrs from now), I'll install a set of Silverado seats with integral shoulder harnesses.

Of all things to piss you(me) off!
