Alright guys it looks like the one day that everyone can do is Saturday June 22nd so let’s go ahead and set that date for the trip! I’ll be just doing a day trip the day off. Anyone interested in camping either the day before or after obviously do your thing. Also there is a permit process for the area I’ll look at getting the link. It’s pretty simple you fill out an online form and then one of the rangers will call you for electronic payment over the phone. I think last time I went it was $10 per vehicle.

Quick edit here is the page with the link for reservations. Wolf Den Run - https://dnr.maryland.gov/publiclands/pages/western/wolf-den-run.aspx

Alright guys we are a week away from the Wolf den trip. The park opens at 9am and im shooting to be there as close to that as possible. If you are planning on coming please remember to fill out the paperwork for the permit with the link i posted up above. Its $12 per person per day. Fill the google docs link out and a ranger will call you to take payment over the phone and email you your permits. You do not need to print the permits as they will have a record of them.

The easiest town to google for where we will be entering the park to start wheeling is Kitzmiller MD. Just west of Kitzmiller on google maps you will see "Wolf den run state park: North hill area" For anyone interested in going that's coming from DC area and beyond and would like to cut your drive time down the morning of I am opening up my river lot to anyone that would like to camp Friday night just like before the trail cleanup day. If you are interested in doing this feel free to shoot me a message and I'll give you the details.

For the people not wanting to camp the night before but would still like to meet and caravan up together Ryan and I will be meeting at the sheetz on RT7 in Winchester VA ( 1683 Berryville Pike, Winchester, VA 22602 ) at 7 AM. We will be fueling up and getting something to eat for the drive. For everyone else that just wants to drive straight there the morning of. I would recommend stopping at the Sheetz in Moorefield WV, and topping off before continuing to Kitzmiller. There is a small store with a single fuel pump in kitzmiller but that has been hit or miss during past trips out there. They also don't have DIESEL, so any of the Diesel guys I would definitely hit the Sheetz in Moorefield to top off.

For those definitely going please comment and let everyone know your plans for the day so we know who to wait for and where. Look forward to wheeling with you guys.

Last minute our plans changed, so my wife and I were thinking of wheeling with you guys.
Is the meet up spot in kitzmiller or “north hill area”?

We will be in Austin’s old 80 for the air conditioning

I was thinking that things were going to line up, but probably not for this trip. I'll keep my ears open for future excursions. :)

Thanks for the fun time!

How was it there? Unfortunately haven't been there yet. Looks like a great group!

Some stuff was technical, but I was able to do some black trails in my stock 100 so they weren't that hard. We did split up at one point on some of their new trails because some (me included) didn't want to chance some of the harder, lesser-known stuff.

All in all it was a great trip. Nothing broke, in fact my CDL light starting working about 10 mins into the trail.

Thank you! I'll have to plan a time to try it out!
