wobbly outside mirror

manually folded drivers side mirror in due to tight parking and now the mirror is wobbling around inside the housing. I hear clicking but it will not hold in one spot.
any idea on the cause and repair options?

Probably popped out of the holder it snaps into. Carefully try to press on the mirror sides, top, corners to pop it back into the retainer.
