wiring connector chart?

I need to replace some wiring harness connectors.
I found some charts via internet but I am not sure of their applicability, ie, date of publication.

Is this the right era? My JDM BJ74 is an '88.

Hello,

70 Series connectors changed very little over time, so yes, it is correct.

This manual is useful as a repair and identification guide.

If you have the chassis and body manual to complement this one you are golden.

There is a time that connectors have been changed, like the tail lights and after cab wiring harness have different style connectors between my 85 HJ-75 and -79 pickup

The outline of this 16 pin connector does not seem to correspond with any connector in the charts.

Don't know what you're seeking for exactly but here is a picture of a 1985 pickup tail lights next to a -79series pickup tail light plug.

I am pretty sure it is the 16 pin connector below. Pic from Eastern Beaver website.

I want to make a pigtail so I can wire a trailer up without cutting into any original wires.
My first car was/is an MGB: the PO of that car made many electrical "mods" that made my life miserable.

Anyone able to identify the plug for the fusible links in a BJ74, the battery side of mine was removed by a PO and I'd like to get back to something nicer than a spade 1/4" female spade terminal stretched to jam over the 8mm contact in the stock plug.

I used the 0.312" terminals from Eastern Beaver. I kept the original plastic housings.
