I also bought the complete new linkage. sooo smooth.
I've installed that replacement bushing before, but it wore out over a winter. I think the plastic is too flimsy and weak.
At least buy several, and have them in the car. They failed me in wiping snow, two times.

EDIT: Good method for installing them by the poster, i want to add that you make notice of the orientation of the arm bolted to the wiper motor. mine were horizontally along the motor, pointing towards the linkage.

Just asked allfourx4 if they would work. Gave him my VIN. He said the bushings would not work with my LHD. I should have read the OP's location first! And he did not offer me a linkage, so I guess the AUS stuff only works with RHD. How is everyone addressing this problem these days? New linkage? If so, from where?

Not sure if this is the most recent thread on wiper bushings but there are several. I thought I would add to this one though.
I havent had wipers for a couple years, and after several days of rain decided rainx wasnt as safe as I liked, so was going to fix them. I did fix them once with super glue and electrical tape 4-5 years ago, that only lasted a year or so though.

Below shows the part that has worn out on mine, and I believe common on others 60s. the pic below that is the part I got at Napa for $8, I had to dremel it on inside to make it fit the ball, and then the outside to connect the circular connecting arm over it, then coated in grease, but it didnt take long, and I think for the price it will work well. Now I have wipers! Hope this helps someone, its a cheap and easy fix. Will see how long it actually lasts.

Although after that project my BJ will randomly shutdown when shifted into reverse, still puzzled on that one.

That's a great solution for what is usually a pricey fix. Good find!

I see how this attaches to the motor but how does it fit the center pivot?

I cannot remember? I sold my bj60 a couple months ago, (sad) but the wipers were still going strong after 6 years of regular use.
