wiper arms - 2 different lengths?

Hi - 1st post in the mini section...converted from rusty diesel cruisers!! I'm putting my 87 reg cab back together after a little roll-over and was wondering what side does the longer wiper arm attach to? Orig wiper arms and seems they are 2 different lengths, which side for what length? Much appreciated!

Looked at another set I have that came off an 86 reg cab and they are same length! One side has a noticeable "bump" on the arm. Time to quit for tonight...

The arms on my '87 are the same length. I actually want to convert over to later model ones with the hook attachment for the blade, not sure what will work.

Thanks for the reply - I've heard about switching over to newer wiper arms also - maybe a visit to the wrecker soon.
