I plan to start on my fj55 this winter. I will be changing out the axles to 60s and doing a v8 transplant. My question is which one should I do first the axles or the motor?
Thanks,

SUA or SOA? I’m asking because of the possibility of outboarding the springs/hangers.

If there’s going to be any customization of the suspension, I’d want to have the weight of the new powertrain in place first so I could position spring/shackle hangers to optimize the stance.

It will be a SOA and I have all the spring brackets to do the outboard in the front. I have been thinking about doing coil overs or struts in the front, but I don't have the brackets or much info on doing that. I was think I could get motor/trans/transfer setup for the original axles and then do the axle swap.
Thanks for the info..
