What's the latest with windshield wipers ? The sun destroyed the inserts, what's everyone using today that is oem quality ?

I live in Arizona which is hard on wiper blades, and have run both the high dollar Rain X blades (35 bucks for each wiper blade) to the low dollar Michelin, at 7 bucks for each wiper blade,
It's been my experience that I'll get maybe a year, to a year and a half use out of the high dollar Rain X blades, before they need replacing,
In the case of the Michelin blades, i get right around a year out of them before they need to be replaced,
Are the Rain X worth paying 5 times what the Michelin cost, To me that answer to that question is no, but other peoples experience may vary from mine,
