USAA uses Safelight for processing auto claims but allows customers to use whoever, but may not approve the quote if it is excessive.

Nationwide allows customers to pick a shop of their choice, but Safelight is there to make things difficult.

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear they are still trusted on the glass side of things.

A pre-emptive Cowl fix has been on my radar due in part to your update. And I don't mean the sensible "replace the cowl" or "add weatherstripping" fixes. More like the "add a plastic roof over the damn thing" fix.

Some inspiration for that is here: Water in Passenger Footwell - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/water-in-passenger-footwell.1283532/page-3#post-14432979
The foam strip seemed to work for now. In January, I drove across Mississippi and Louisiana on I-10 raining the entire way and the floorboards were dry.

Select Auto Glass. Ask for Leno. He knows LCs. Havent used them but talked to him at length. 512 436 1832

finally at the point where I’ve got to get my windshield replaced, getting a lot of water on the PS floorboard and pretty sure it’s not all coming from the sunroof.

Is LPAG still the place to go or has anyone had any recent experiences?

Same boat. Need the cargo seals and front window seal replaced on my fj55.

I had mine replaced again by LPAG due to another rock. They are familiar with the 100 and 200. Plus they do a bunch for the south Toyota dealer.

Looking to get this fixed on my 2015 200. This happened on a trip to Georgia from the Austin area over Thanksgiving. It grew and then stopped, and has started growing again just this week.

I am looking to get the windshield protection film but unsure who the best is. I don’t think Xpel has launched their product yet.

I used the Manchaca location. The owner seemed knowledgeable about land cruiser windshields. He said they do work for Toyota Autonation. I ordered new trim so when they fix the windshield they can install the new trim. All pieces totaled around $230 including tax and shipping.
I’m about to have Ernesto do my 01LX. How is your windshield holding up? I spoke with him over the phone and he already knew how problematic these can be.

Just posted this in another thread.

I recently used Low Price Auto Glass North Lamar location and am very satisfied. Shakim the owner is the real deal. He is very familiar with LCs. He let me bring in all new OEM trims pieces and did not charge me extra. When they removed my old windshield, which the had screws from the PO install, he brought me back to the bay to show me some surface rust and gave some options (I called AJ from AJ's Yotas and got some more good advice). Shakim knew a body/paint guy just down the street who was able to clean, bondo, and primer for a mere $120. He then took my LC back to LPAG and they finished the install.

I previously was in communication with LPAG/Earnesto in south Austin as I live right next to it and they did my wife's 4runner and my Infiniti q40. There was an issue with the q40 install, which had to be rectified after a couple of times returning it, which he wasn't happy about, but they did remove and reinstall, which fixed the issue so I have to give them credit for that.

Back to the LC. Earnesto told me he doesn't upcharge on parts as he does work for Toyota Autonation. When I got his quote the price for trim pieces were definitely more than what I could get them from Toyota Autonation as they have online wholesale parts. The next red flag was his quote has wrong part numbers. The last red flag was that he wanted to charge me additional labor for installing the OEM trip piece I provided.

When I called LPAG/Shakim he told me there was not a reason to charge extra since they would have to remove/reuse those pieces anyway. Glad I listened to my gut and didn't go with the LPAG south Austin location.
