tint does offer quite a bit of privacy for the back. I like not having people look at my kids, or dog. For the dog when we have to go into stores I can feel a bit better as it really does help cool the truck.

What,do we have a drug problem in B.C.I love the latest thing, free Crack pipes.Nice to have a bottomless money pit(taxpayers) to dig into.
I had my truck done by the guys at the Richmond auto mall, did a nice job.For the sides you can go with a fairly dark tint and go with a 5 or 10% lighter tint in the back,it lets you see out the back well and the darker sides make it hard to see in.
A heat gun works well for removing the old faided or purple tint.

Kim, I find it very interesting that you think a police officer doing his (or her) job and enforcing the law is "power tripping." I don't want to thread hijack, but do you have a reason for feeling that way?

Perhaps that was out of order.

I have heard story about a lady at work who bought a vehicle with the front windows tinted and was pulled over and after discussion about a few issues, apparently ending in this lady's favour, the officer then attempted to peel the tint.

Of course, I only heard one side of the story and there is always more to it!

I guess I just don't consider tinting of that glass a very big deal. I don't think it limits visibility in most situations.

I've taken three vehicles to a small place in Port Moody that is inexpensive and do a good job.

oh and for the record cops always do and always will care abotu tint on the front passenger windows if pulled over. my camaro and jetta both had tint all around. 5% rears and 35% up front. twice ive had to peel it off at the side of the road. same with friends.

It really depends on how dark the tint is. Here in Central America they do not have regulations on tinting and there are folks with ALL windows INCLUDING the windshield tinted dark. It's tough to see the door mirrors at night and to see even out the windsheild at night with tint on the side windows or windsheild.

My trucks are tinted from the "B" pillar back and occasionally it's hard to see.

There's also the fact that the cop wants to see you as he is walking up to the side of your car. They make big revenue on seat belt checks as well that requires them seeing your shoulder belt.

It's one of those things. It doesn't seem like it's a big deal really, but a rule's a rule, and you might be caught. Kind of like they used to fine people for switching to aftermarket headlights before the german cars started coming in with the HID's...

Just got the windows tinted today......Looks awesome!!! did the back ambulance doors and the sliding side windows.......I would reccommend Kevin (WildFX on mud)......he is mobile, comes to the house.... I'll post some pictures soon.
