I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a 55 purchase. Problem is that it has no glass in any of the windows.

Anyone have guidance on glass? Is the door, side and rear glass just standard straight automotive sheet glass? I know the front windshield is formed but I'm mainly curious how hard it would be just to find a glass shop to have the rest custom cut.

Thanks and looking forward to joining the 55 ranks.

The glass is all tempered. the w/s is the only shaped glass, the rest are flat. I have heard the w/s is available for a nominal fee, and if you look hard here and practice patience, I would be surprised if you couldn't source the rest of the windows here. What year pig? the glass changed slightly over the years...

Seek and ye shall find. PM me if any of this works. No cargo glass and just got rid of a tailgate glass.

what Sheep Squeezer said

I've got glass comin' out my ass, but don't think shipping to you would be feasable

Search and you will find, be patient

To bad your so far away... I'm from Edmond originally. I have all the glass you need but it would be killer shipping from montana. Good luck

I have a new windshield from toyota. Im not sure how it would ship from Calif. though. PM if interested.

if you've got anyone traveling through denver, i've got both rear cargo side glass, but i've found that shipping glass is an exercise in patience and money....no mattter how well you pack it, it usually shows up broken

I had the rear cargo panels and tailgate glass custom made at a local glass shop for around $230.00. They used TINTED and tempered glass.

I have also successfully shipped flat glass in the past you just need to pack it well. I used flat pieces of 1/4" wood paneling in the box to mitigate sharp impacts that would crack the glass.
