Winch rope protection.

Looking at my synthetic rope line on my winch, I can see the ARB bumper collecting a lot of dust, mud, salt, etc . Anybody ever try protecting the rope or the whole winch even though it is inside the bumper?

My RUNVA winch came with a neoprene cover. Been riding on the rear for years
and is clean
