I paid $500 for my 8274 of the same vintage with very little wear. If you got it for $400 I think you did well.

Another definition of "Sweet Deal"!
So I called this guy back to say when I'd pick this thing up.
In the photos there is not a Hook on the cable. So I asked if he had the Hook.
"Yes, I've got the Hook and a WARN Snatch Block that goes with it..."
Yikes!! says I...
So it's: 8275, homemade receiver mount, Hause fair lead, snatch block, (and of course the Hook, but you'd kinda expect that to be there)
Paid $500...Which I don't mind telling ya cause I didn't buy it for re-sale..

Thanks for pointing me to this thread High Desert. I just picked up an 8274 mostly on its reputation than anything else. I haven't gotten around to checking it out thouroughly yet but if I'm to believe the seller it's in good working condition. The seller rattle-canned it black which was a disapointment to see but that's all. It's complete so hopefully it's a keeper.
I like the look of it on your ARB but don't have one myself nor can I afford one so I'll have to see about it fitting in my bumper. Obviously some modification will be in order. Are than any known weaknesses, problems, or mounting FYI's I should be aware of?

I don't know of any weakness issues..unless you go weak on your mount. Lots of information on different setups here in recovery.. Hard to beat a Bullbar type set up.
This is my current bumper, with a bit of cutting and welding I imagine it would work just fine.
