Just an FYI, just stopped by 4WP after work to see if they’d allow me to return it. I disclosed to them I had indeed installed it and used it for a week, that’s how I knew I didn’t like it and they ask if everything was in the boxes and issued the return no problem.
For a large organization, generally speaking 4WP's are not bad. Often what makes the or breaks these stores will be the general manager and how they treat their customers.

Thanks so much for sharing your experiences here. I’m working to figure out my best options for carrying my 35” spare on my GX460 but finding one of these units mounted in the factory hitch has been hard. It’s definitely going to create a clearance issue while off-roading. Plus it just looks ridiculous. I’m worried about the JWOffroad unit holding that much weight on the door. Guess it’s a full bumper or take a massive chance with the JWOffroad unit.

Some will know I eventually ended up just building a tire carrier that sat inside the rear cargo area and store my spare there. It’s been working great, but with our first kid on the way, I’m realizing I probably need that cargo room back for things like joggers/strollers and such. So, I’m now planning on building a custom tire carrier swing out that looks to do 80-90% of my ideal setup would (and I think fits a overall missing part of the market on these).

A very similar setup to what I plan on copying, credit to @geerex470 on IG, made from parts from 4x4innovations:

Now that hits the mark! I’ll start following you to watch your progress. And yes, having two kids of my own, I will attest to the need for every bit of space. The tire in the back takes up massive real estate as slick as your mount is.

I messaged Detours of Maine for a unit but I’m doubtful I’ll get a response based on the shared experience here. They easily have the best hitch mounted option by far. It looks perfect, sits high and is light weight. I’ll post my experience here if that comes to fruition.
