Yep the 1700 are perfect size. They are almost the same size as OEM. Like UZJ100 said you only need 3/4 or 1" plywood or plastic spacer under it.

Yes, the PC1700MJT will fit in a 100. I have one in mine right now and I love it. A 3/4 inch piece of plywood was not enough for mine. I put in a piece of 1/4 inch on top of the 3/4 inch and it fit perfectly. The posts line up perfectly and it is a really sweet battery.
