There was some discussion in the Fall about planning an excursion S to join up with some Coastal Cruiser people to do the Whipsaw this late Spring/Summer.

Who would be interested in joining in on this?
When works the best for you?

The first two weeks of July are out for me this year...

This year is not looking good for me, other than day trips, using up all my vacation on weddings in april and august,

Con that no good boss of yours into giving you another week of vacation.

All my long weekends are booked up for Tumbler this summer.

The CC haven't done whipsaw in a couple years as a club run, but it used to be the August long trip. No idea what people down here are planning on for this year since it's been about a year since I went to a meeting.

I was told that there may be some interest in running the Whipsaw whenever I show up. Perhaps it can be this year's CCSS run.

Deny, you suck. :frown:

Oh you can't diss Tumbler till you been. Right now that 4 low trail is the best trail i ever been on, the push to make it to the lake (probably first trucks in 20 years), and just the overall awsomeness makes me just want to go there and nowhere else. Whipsaw sucks.:p

I'm not dissing Tumbler. That area of our neck of the woods is awesome. I think you should spare one weekend though.

I'd drive twice that far to see my CC buddies again even if it was to just sit and bull**** around a campfire in someone's backyard.

I'm interested, I'm pretty new around here and would like to get out to whipsaw. When are you thinking?

Well, a lot of things are up in the air. I hope to have a lot more free time on my hands in July and August. I will have to check with my tour guide cronies and my RMLCA pals in regards to the annual RubyCon trip. Although... if some CA Swamp Donkeys come up this summer I'll take them on the RubyCon trip independent of the RMLCA'ers. So, in a nutshell... sometime between June and September, with the exception of the first two weeks of July.

Jim, you can have another two weeks off this summer. Just buy me a case of beer.

There I fixed your post for you. :flipoff2:

So Jim, when works best for you and L? :)

Hmm, I smell rotten fish. All my previous posts don't say that, and none of them have been edited by me. I think you are abusing your powers. Plus it could be true, but he would have to find the most rare and expensive beer in the world, then maybe I would consider it:hillbilly:

I'm sure you'd round up few locals for a CCSS trip down south, some might even know what CCSS means ;p. If you head up whipsaw early enough there'd still be snow so maybe Deny wouldn't have to go in 2wd to keep it interesting. About half the August trips mosquitos weren't a problem, the meadows are filled with wildflowers, good times. Just try to go outside of fire season. I like the trail, I'd go.
