which way do the rear springs go?

A bit of an emergency post. Im at a shop right now and noticed the longer side of the spring is facing the front of the car. Its an FJ45 chassis...

Shouldn't it be the short side towards front of car? Im refering to rear leaf suspension.

The short side to the fixed mount and longer side to the shackle? My shackles are on the very rear of the car.

shops about to weld and I keep delaying them trying to confirm first

We need to know what brand of springs you're installing. Maybe call them?

Regardless, the mil wrap (if present) goes on the pin end (front, in this case).

Thanks man! I assumed the same, the "mil wrap" are the 2 wrapped top springs around the spring eyes right? That should be on the fixed point. The side with the mil wrap is the shorter side on my springs.

I am not sure of the brand, they might be original replacement for the FJ45.
