My belief is that there is much more to a 40 than it's engine. The engine is NOT unique, it's not some mastermind invention worthy of great engine praise. It's just what happened to come with it.
The body of a 40 is unique, it's what separates a 40 from a Jeep. No one recognizes the off set rear axle, or the engine, you recognize a 40 by it's design, by it's body.
BTW your link doesn't work.
The TLC is recognized in the world as the most dependable of 4x4 trucks...the engine and drivetrain and mechanics make this so...not the shape of the body

The TLC is recognized in the world as a work horse...the engine and drivetrain make this so...not the shape of the body.

Only here in the US (most) people see the out side before whats on the inside...Thats so shalow of some people isn't it

If the body of the TLC is so unique ....why do so many people confuse it with a Jeep?

If the body is sooo important ...then an aluminum body is great because it keeps the uniqueness of the classic LC shape and the longevity of a rover body.

do to many people confuse LR's with Jeeps? or is there body much more unique than a LC?

+ I appologize my like doesn't work...I'll look for another link that shows a very dependable work horse TLC
