Where do I get door bushings for an lv?

Nice :)

Count me in on a few sets if they can make them.

I like Ace Harware stores. Unlike the Home Depots and Lowes stores (home improvement), Ace is still a hardware store and carries hardware.

Door bushing update!!

I just got off the phone with that supplier that I mentioned. They are going to make the door bushing for me, they do not stock it.

They are going to make it to the first set of Dimensions that Ground up posted. They could do either with the 9mm hole, but I told them to do the first one since that was stock.

A= 15mm
B= 2.5mm
C= 10mm
D= 9mm
L= 12mm

Treeroot or Ground up - is this what we want? Correct?

They are specificly tooling up to make these for me so I want to make sure they are right!

My cost is $75 per 100. I guess it seems a bit high, but less than a buck a bushing and it is something being custom made so.......? They are also being made out of Nylon, not plastic. I told him they were being used as a door bushing and he thought they should work fine, do you guys agree???? I did order them, lead time is 4 weeks, he said I will see them in exactly that time.

Please post to confirm that these are the dimensions you want.

Thanks, Matt

I can take a door apart this weekend and measure what I have. Another question is how many per truck. Is there 4 per hinge and are they the same for the tailgate hinges? Also, ask how many do we need to order to lower the price. I am willing to invest funds if needed. It would be nice to have extras.

Let me know ASAP, I got off the phone with him this afternoon and gave him a PO#, the ball is rolling on this right now. I'm sure I could call him Monday if there was a change, but they were going off the dimensions I faxed him off this thread. I don't know how quickly the tooling starts once I said yes, I would imagine fairly quickly?

I did ask about the qty.. Didn't matter if I took a 100 or a 1000, price was the same either way. I did have to buy a minimum of 100, so that's what I ordered for right now. I guess I didn't think .75 cents a bushing was to out of line, I'm sure they have a whole penny tied up in material though (probably for all 100 of them).

I haven't looked at my doors that closely, but I'm assuming you would need 16 for all 4 doors, didn't know there were any in the tailgate? I doubt mine would be worth measuring, not much left anyway and what is is totally wore out.

Post as soon as you find out either way, otherwise there being made to those previously listed dimensions.

What about pins, are lv pins the same as 40's? I've never looked, when I took my doors off I unbolted the 4 bolts per hinge on the door post and took everything off as an assembly.

Thanks, Matt

MAtt, count me in for a set too. LV pins are not the same, hence the need for a different bushing.

No problem, I imagine it will be another 2 or 3 weeks before I see them.

I would like to send the first set to someone who is ready to put them in the minute they get them. There being made exactly to the first diagram specs. on this thread, but............you never know. I would hate to send them all out and then have them be wrong, although I'm sure they'll be fine.

If someone is ready to install them now, please let me know.

Thanks, Matt
