Where are the LC200s?!

Do you know what else has range that sucks donkey balls? We don't call them pigs for no reason.

You can get hung up on whatever you want. My wife just drove her Model 3 from San Diego to Sacramento on her own - 500 miles, in one day. Something we usually break up into multiple days or between a couple drivers. She describes it as blissful and more relaxing than any car she's driven. Because so much of it can be done for you while you relax through LA traffic or desolate stretches. Charging is a non-issue and she needed bio breaks anyways. It costs $25 in energy one way vs my cruiser at $125. Or $50 round trip vs $250.

We still love our pigs.

Just my bro’s experience with Y. 200 miles is pretty bad. At least, my pig gets about 320 miles...and i don’t have range anxiety because i can get gas everywhere. I am sure that Tesla cost of ownership is lower. But i also noticed several fit & finish issue on the Y. So, how well will it age?

Just one experience. YMMV.

For the record, i like Tesla. My wife will probably get Y in future but her commute is very defined. So, getting a Y is a no-brainer.

@coleAK Different strokes for different folks and I can't fault anyone for satisfying their own taste in vehicles.

That said...I'm with you. The thought definitely crossed my mind as I was reading the OPs wants. Some may say it's coolaid, and many have simply not experienced EVs, Tesla's firsthand, and presume what the experience might be. It's so game changing and the advantages are so dramatic that it can't be dismissed as fan-boi-ism. Any reasonable person would feel the same after experiencing it. Yet many of us seek that period correct style/feel/experience against progress. That's true even between the LC vs LX. LX is objectively better on many fronts, but the LC tickles subjective boxes for many people too.

My experience and ownership of vehicles mirrors yours. Whether we think alike having landed on many of the same cars, or our opinions are constructed from common car experiences... I can say Cybertruck is a very strong possibility in my future. Just trying to decide whether I keep the 200-series as a toy beater, or replace it completely. I just threw a ton of money and upgrades (re-gear, locker, lighting) at my LX as I want to see become what I always imagined it capable of. Do I do 35s or 36s... Might as well experience it to its full potential for a few years and then decide which way to proceed.

One thing for sure is that the final model years of any generation become some of the most sought after. Buying a new last model year also has the benefit of time with all the bugs and stuff sorted. OP, enjoy the truck!
Well said. I’ll add I am not a kool aid drinking fan boy, EVs are just so much better in every way, fast efficient, almost never need to “fuel up” mechanically simple,... I have a reservation for a Cyber truck and a Rivian S1. Not sure if/when I’ll get one but when I do I’ve decided I’ll keep my LX and build it to a more dedicated off roader, probably finally do the sensor lift and trim for 34’s. Then Use the EV as a DD and towing our camper.

There were some complications with the one I put a deposit on... so now I found another one that I am interested. It is a 2019 and the price is $75.9 OTD excluding tax. Only thing that bothers me is it has 212 miles from test drives and the GM taking it home. Would this bother you guys? It has been frustrating shopping for a 200 given the limited inventory. Thanks again for your input!

The LC looks more like a 4X4. I have an LX470, but I still say get the LC200. Looks way better and it’s a true Landcruiser!

Cant think of a single reason why that would bother me. I put 1500 miles on my 200 just last week.

If it has 200 miles on it, gives you more firepower to deal it down more. Tell them 76k OTD with tax!

After a lot of back and forth with too many dealers, I pulled the trigger on a silver/terra out of modern Toyota just outside of savannah for $78k. Thanks again for everyone’s input!

Congrats!
I just got a new Lc200 also
Glad you went with it
As someone that has a tundra and a Landcruiser I know you thought it’s the same inside as the Tundra, no chance and the comfort etc is no comparison

The Entune infotainment and the door handle are about the only similarities I see anyways

Yea, agreed. Sometimes I miss my tundra pro but I’m glad to be back in the 5.7. I was driving around today and noticed how quiet and smooth it is. I love it!
