March 20th?

Gary count me in for the 20th of March, Matt

I'm following this thread because I want to bring my nephew and brother along. My nephew would really dig wheeling and it would be basically a birthday gift for him. He called the Cruiser a Jeep once, I corrected him, and he's never made the mistake again! The 20th won't work for me now, due to plans with the family.

So I should hold my breath?

Wheeling March 20

OK, I am going to definitely take off work Saturday the 20th and wheel at Rausch. Need two other vehicles to wheel with. Let's do this, I am anxious to get out!

With the warm weather we've been having and all the rain this weekend most of the snow is gone around here. I am going to head up behind my house tomorrow to see what it's like. Last weekend there was still a substantial amout of snow but I think by the 20th Rausch will be pretty much devoid of snow.

Felix- I doubt if any of our guys will camp. There's plenty of room for you at Rausch, though, bring some of your friends with you!

Weather man calling for great weather from Tuesday through at least Saturday so let's enjoy it!!!!

If anyone needs me to bring anything they need to let me know by Thursday.

I will be at Rausch paid up and signed in by 8AM and raring to go. First "event" of the season!!!!! Gary S

I broke the new to the Mrs yesterday. She wasn't thrilled about me leaving her with a two year old and a twelve day old. So camping is out but I'm pretty sure ill be there. Probably with jeeper Jim.

It sould be a nice day, top down kind of weather:)

Wheeling Saturday

Weather sounds perfect, sooooooo it's Jeeper Jim, Chris Bury and me (Matt Reed riding shotgun and navigating). Sounds like maybe snakebite, trail 12, and some various sundry other niceties. Nobody else interested in wheeling on a beauuutiful March day? Gary S

Gary,

That list of trails sounds like a great way to bring in spring:)

James

Thanks to Jim Matt and Gary for helping me fix my steering. Made it home safe.

Tierod got bent rather good:doh: We removed it and straightened it out enough for Chris to get home. Gary brought out the runner, a very nice truck.

The weather was wonderful, about 70 and sunny. A great day in the woods with no real damage.

james

What happened to your steering?

Gary did you wheel your new runner?

March 20 wheeling

We had a very good day all the way around. Perfect weather and I do mean perfect. Trails were just wet enough to be fun. We were the first group out of the park, went down past the old office and up Jotters way. Out through the west property and down H (J and J1 are closed), did three sections of 12 including the creek run. From there we did 14, out to 11, then up the power line to the South property. Stopped down in the quarry for lunch. The Shoot the Moon trail out of the top of the quarry was still covered with snow and ice. From there we went out to Snakebite and did the first two sections. It's getting to be even more off camber than ever in the second section (Bob bascom take note!!!). From there we went over B to the west property for a little playing, then out to the staging area. Chris decided to go over a little hill in the competition area and found his steering arm bent so badly his wheels wouldn't turn! we got him fixed good enough to drive home, and he picked up a new (used) steering arm from matt reed Sunday morning.

All in all a fun day, felt good to be out on the trail after such a snowy winter. Next wheeling for me is Friday April 2 with the FJCruiser guys. anyone else gonna make it? Gary S

any pictures from this trip? id like to get out sometime in april as I just picked up a 60 serious and would like to break it in.

No pics just wheeling. Ill have to see my schedule Gary, if I'm off maybe ill try to take the wife with me. My steering is better than before. I guess my TRE's were beat. Anyway, good as new and ready to go. Thanks again Matt.

You are welcome Chris. Cheers to a great day!! Weather was perfect and it was fun to see some of the Bronocs guys hit the quarry and attempt some crazy trails.

Matt
