Hey guys,

I am thinking of heading out Saturday morning for a little wheeling. Mostly, My axle rebuild is done and I want to put a few miles on it in low range before heading to Moab. You are all welcome to join in.

I'm thinking of running Illinois Gulch, maybe some random trails back to rampart range road, and down into garden of the gods...but I'm flexible. Probably going to keep this a fairly quick trip. My parents are visiting, so I'll have them along for the ride. If the weather on Saturday is just atrocious, I might push this to another day or night.

Anyway, let me know if you want to join in.

Little snow wheelin' :hillbilly:

:hmm:.......would love to get out and get some fresh air. Been feelin' a bit run down lately.

My sugar mama's working tomorrow, so that means I'd be taking along the kiddos. Probably pretty doubtful for me.

You should take it to Texas Creek next week for the shake down run. :)

Be very careful on Illinois gulch in the snow. The hill north of little moab is very dangerous.

Yeah. I was thinking the same thing earlier...not sure if I want to end up sliding back down that big hill if it's icy. I'm open to any area trails if anyone wants to join in.

I would like to, but I leave for Moab on Wednesday, so it doesn't leave any time to fix any issues I might find. I also have some plans over the weekend that are in the way.

I'm all on. Trucks running good. All fluid leaks have been taken care of.

So what's the game plan for tomorrow? Can't be out too late. I need to put it on jack stands so I can take the wheels in for new rubber.

Cool. Glad to hear that you got the truck buttoned up.

I don't think I can leave the house tomorrow until about 8:30. I am game for a short trip to just about any area trail(s). If it's on your way, we can meet at my house. If not, we can meet at Rudy's, the Western, or whatever makes sense. Give me a call and we will figure it out.

I got a hunch you're going bigger...:hillbilly:

We can do Rudy's. Only cause I want some burritos!

I wish I was going bigger. But I'm staying with 35s for now. If I went to 37s I have to swap to 17's, and that's even more money on top of more expensive tires.

Had a great time today. The Frank and the Trial Whale both drove great after recent work...ready to head up to Moab!

We headed up 300 and then down 315. We checked out one of the dead end roads where there was a set of tire tracks in the snow, and found a Land Rover parked at the end. I saw some movement, so I figured I would pull up beside, say hi, and make sure they weren't broken down (pretty likely). When I got next to them, I realized that there were 2 naked people in the back, so we moved on pretty quick. There was lots of heavy, wet snow and we were making fresh tracks. We got to the off-camber section of 315 and had to turn around, because snow had drifted against the high side of the trail making it VERY off camber.

We headed north again on 300, and ran the 323/324 loop. There were a few spots with very deep snow and Brian had to winch me back once when I got stuck.
