I though about the SAS but that's 10K without install and I only looked at one place to get the parts. Not all of it was front end though some was rewiring so to be fair to durhamtown mud it wasn't at fault for all the damage, it is just easier to blame it than to take responsibility and say that I can't wire lights and fried some stuff.

I hear you. All Pro had a SAS kit with a hybrid 60 axle complete back in the day for $9000. I haven't seen it on their website so they may not produce it anymore.

I would think someone would make a FJ/Taco kit that you could use with a mini axle and be under $6000 installed yourself. That would be a crap load of work though.

Looking forward to wheeling with you guys soon, picking up my Taco tomorrow and already have a Softopper and lift waiting for it for some light expedition wheeling/camping.

I heard there are no Marine electricians...you use Navy guys to do all that stuff. LOL :D :D

Some one has to keep the local Toyota mechanics employed :o.

I'm hoping to leave about 2:00, any one else?

I am leaving at 8am with a South African guy and his expedition 100 series following...we are going to the Indian Motorcycle dealership in Charlotte...then over to the Indian Motorcycle factory in Kings Mountain...then back over to Eldorado Outpost to fuel up, buy our passes, round out our kits if needed and then head to campsite. Plan on being there by 4-5pm...Campsite C if I remember....go in and follow road around Counter Clockwise....third site...A is on right...>B is at top of circle...C in bottom corner going back out towards road. Showers and bathhouse in middle with hand wells for water.

I will not be able to make this trip.

My FJC is is not ready and something else has come up that requires my attention. blah blah blah.

Hope to see you guys (and gals) on the next trip.

Picking my truck up today, if I wouldn't have put my wife through hell looking for trucks the past 3 weeks I would be tempted to drive up tonight and wheel tomorrow. I think if I did that I would be using my tent for more than just tonight when I got back.;)

Definitely looking forward to the WNC trip, Boil, and the Annual.

Have fun guys, and take lots of pics. Now that I have a stock rig, I love looking at semi-stock FJCruisers, Tacos, and 100's wheeling with nothing more than off-road tires.:)

Had a great time at Uwharrie! I broke a tie rod on the 4runner trying to go up Daniel, but thanks to Dbenke and Thomas we got it back on the trail with 2 pairs of vise grips holding it together. I can't believe it worked. You guys are incredible. Thanks so much. I also appreciate the food and drinks that were supplied back at camp courtesy of Brock and Rou. This is what it means to have a club! Thanks for being welcoming to my brother and Corey. Rudy has a kid now and needs to slow down a little and you guys would be a great influence. I guess every club needs a couple of rednecks in it:)

Had a blast too. My oldest is hooked on off-roading that's all he has talked about since he woke up on the ride home through today. He can't wait to get his little brother in the truck too!
In the middle of soaking the truck with the sprinkler right now. So much easier when there is so little mud to go through.

Good to get to wheel with you again and glad you were able to get out and home safely with a little help from some friends. But face it you were in need of some parts anyways as our fine state requires both of your headlights to function

"a path diverged in the woods and I chose to spear my truck on the log that lay between them"

doh and then figured out the HD vid on the camera.....

I had a great time also, guys. I can't believe I made it up the ledge on Daniel with the 62.

We'll have to do it again real soon!!

had a great time as well. Weather was almost perfect....was not miserable like when I went up there last month. We had 9 vehicles I believe on the trails with Maglight and Stephen bring their boys as passengers. We had a little breakage on Dickie Bell and Daniel but other than that it was mostly scrapes and drag marks as the trail continuously evolves from weather and use.

I cant wait to see the pics...and also want to thank our special guest, Rou, from Bundu Gear (New Mexico) for being a great sport and taking his open/open 98 100 series with RTT and such on the trails as well. Cant wait for the next time.
