Thought there would still be snow up there.

Hut lake was easy last year, upper hut is always tough

Stock trucks will struggle thru the entrance, but everything else to hut was simple

He live's...:bounce2: . I know you said somthing like that.

Hope you all have a good trip I will be checking for the pic's:beer:

hey i wanna go but now is giving me a straight answer ill meet you guys at mcdics at 11 and well talk then ok

I would like to start this off by saying GarryB is my new hero

mat you would have loved it. To everyone else your lame and I wish you all the best in you diesel milage adventures;p

So I get to squamish mcds meet up with garry B and we wait to see if anyone else shows. As usual knowone does to we head off. we get to the trail head air down and go on our way. Lots has changed in the last 5 years since ive been there. lots of blasting, rock everywhere. we get to the entrance and what a gate keeper. with some good spotting by Marie I made it through with ease. Next garry went though also making it look easy. I guess dual ARBs help. After the gate keeper its around half hour of narrow trail rock, logs until the first lake. At the first lake(lower Hut) has the famous "challange rock" which is exactly that. After a few minutes of my truck being vertical I claimed defeat. and came out with a broken tail light and some new dents.

the taillight didnt bother me much so off we went to the next challange. It was a fun one. the waterfall. We decided that since Garry had the winch he should go first incase there was a problem. (good thing for me). I lined him up on the crack of the waterfall trying my best to keep his body away from the rocks. I failed. winch time. hooked him up and and with some tire spinning and winching garry was out. next was the rock face only 50ft past the waterfall. its hard to explain but during this part garry broke a birfield, got a flat tire, lost the arb compressor and broke a window. winch time. got garry onto flat ground and we stared to assess the dammage and repair. I pulled the broken birf so he could turn, taped up the window, changed a relay for the arb, and changed the tire. ok Now the truck can move again yay. time to get the truck down.

We start to limp garrys truck down the rock face that destroyed his truck get him down half way bang!! broke the other birf. and he cant turn. winch. after some winching techniques and stress we finally get garry out of therock face and the waterfall and to flat ground where i get to change out another birfield YAY:D So at this time garry is now a 2 wheel drive. atleast gravity is on our side. we head down the trail back to the first lake(challange rock) set up camp and get into the beers.

good times

Dan

Ouch. I remember Alf and Rob M going up Hut after Rob M got his prototype 3.0 T-case gears installed. IIRC Alf had some issues - broken birf, burned out winch motor, some body damage, can't recall what else.

I don't think that truck likes Hut...

Great shot!

Tire

Looks like I spun my first tire off the rim, they fixed it for free, had it at only 14.5 psi and it spun right off the rim. Lot's of firsts this weekend.

I have to say Dan is amazing to wheel with, learned lots, and had a blast.

So, Smurfs, or Longs?

So many decisions...
