I run 33" x 12.5 swampers on my 74 and have no problems. The front tires rub a little under full flex, but not enough to damage or wear the tires.

I've got a middy FJ73 and run -28 offset rims with 33x12.5 radial claws, the front i have no trouble at all, but under full articulation on the back my tyres jam against the inner guard with about 1.5'' till the bumpstop. I'm moving to -60 rims should give me just enugh clearance

cheers

I have an aftermarket rim. How can I figure out the offset of it. Is it just the measurement from the attachment point to the hub to the rim itself.

Zach

You will need 8" wide rims which come 3.75" backspacing (stock is 3.5") and 1/4" spacer on the front only to run 12.5" tires on a BJ 74. With 33's some rubbing will occur with Old Man Emu suspension.
