Oh yeah, my fave is minute steak in a beer batter, cooked in a hot pan with butter or bacon grease, lotsa garlic, brown on both sides and then add mushroom soup and maybe some onions and cook for about 30 minutes. Roasts are good wrapped with bacon, so is the tenderloin. I make jerky out of the burger, or put it in chili. Moose...its just good food. I think I saw you got a cow?

yep :D I like it so far, my wife needs a little coaxing- she thinks it tastes like liver.

does it make good sausage?

Thats funny my wife won't eat it either :hhmm:. It makes excellent sausage. I think you need to add some pork fat to it otherwise it's really dry.

Why did I think you rode a Harley Davidson?

something like this more of what you expected? ;)

wish this bike was still around. it was a ex boyfriends. a few years after i moved out, he died and his daughters sold the bike. didn't look like much, but man did it scoot. also, scotty lowered it enough that i could comfortably ride it;)

this was my first bike. not exactly the best bike for someone fresh outta high school, but it was pretty fun for a while. learned real quick that at 140mph, the air is going down your throat so fast that it's hard to breathe. and, if you try it with a helmet on, the helmet will push back far enough that the chin strap will dig into your throat.

that was also the first time i recall realizing just how far i would fly before i hit pavement should someone pull out in front of me. never did 140 again.

This is not my fanciest bike or a head-turner, but darn if it isn't the one I find myself riding the most. I bought it a few years ago to replace a KZ550Ltd as a "beater" commuter bike. It was a little ragged but the paint was OK, so I did a lot of polishing and painting, then added the Vetter up front and hard bags. Dang if it isn't pleasant to ride, with decent power and great stowage. It's a 1983 CB 1000C. It is not as much fun as a Harley for cruising or a sportbike for nice roads, but darn if it doesn't split the difference pretty well and provide lots of functionality for commuting. I think I have about a grand in it total (besides the "sweat equity"), and I am quite pleased.

When I was a kid my uncles buddy had one of those, I never really took a close look at it just thought it was kind of different looking. Now I see through the magic of Google they are still being made! Kinda got a bit of a "cult" following, hmmmmm....where have I seen that before. Cool unit there titanpat. Is the front driven hydraulically?

That is a Rokon, and they have been around since the '50s or '60s. It is a splined pinion gear with a flexible coupler at the steering head.

Yeah, I know Rokon makes them, not being a smart ass, I wish I had payed more attention when I was standing next to one when I was 10. I remember thinking it must be a bitch to ride this thing. I'll keep my quad.;)

Well I don't want to hijack the thread...but the front wheel drives by a shaft in a tube going up and under the gas tank. It also has an "overide spring" that helps to dissengage the front wheel when you turn, or else it would be never be able to turn at all. The power is tranfered by "miter boxes" that allow it (the drive) to make a 90 degree turn at the chains. The engine was a 2 stroke Chrysler 136cc, kinda sounded like a chainsaw..lol.

I bought 3 of them for 300$ from a rattlesnake hunter in Towanda, PA. There was a 67' a 68', and a that one in the pic is a 70'. That was the nicest out of all of them. The other two were basket cases, but allowed me to get enough parts to make a real nice one.

I remember them from the back of Mechaincs Illustrated when I was a kid and decided to find one....just didn't realize (as always the case) I'd get that into it. You can climb a telephone pole if you hang on to it, and the new ones are even better by far. Not fast, but like the add says, it WILL go ANYWHERE!!

You guys have some awesome rides, but I think I'm with you 73fj..sumtim to drag deer, plow snow, and grab some firewood

I swear I look like Jim Carrey from Dumb and Dumber riding the 350.

[after Lloyd trades the van in for a moped]
Harry: Just when I thought you couldn't get any dumber, you go and do something like this... and totally redeem yourself! :hillbilly:
