hey guys, even though I’m not a club member, I've gone in a few runs and got to meet some of you guys over the years.
i drive a 91 hdj81 and just went thru a road block a few days back and the cop almost gave me an inspection due to no DOT approved lights, luckily i knew his partner in crime and got off easy.
so to the point, i tried looking for the inspection report from when i got the truck from a certain importer in the mainland but no luck. i found an icbc bulletin online saying that after feb 2006 the head lights had to be changed to DOT approved ones or S.......i got the truck 8 months after that so i called the shop to ask him why they were changed and he said that the vehicle passed inspection and that some shops weren’t aware of the bulletin till months later, that i can blame him and hell blame the shop leading us nowhere. instead he wanted to be fair with me so he said he’d split the head lights with me 50/50. what would you do in my case?. i think its fair but at the same time that should’ve been done before i bought the vehicle.
