What type of O-ring do I need for AHC shock absorber PN: 90562-12003

AHC Shock absorber leak.
I am replacing it all with OEM shocks and keeping my AHC.


I am unable to locate O-ring PN: 90562-12003 for top of front AHC shock absorber. Many websites have it but when I place the order, either delivery time is a few weeks out or order gets cancelled.

Could my mechanic just use any Viton or Nitrile o-ring that fits? Or do these AHC O-rings need to be of a different special material? At my work we assemble downhole oil and gas tools, we use Nitrile or viton O-rings that see 200-300 Fahrenheit temps and 10,000 psi so I would assume that any nitrile O-ring would be ok?

For anyone not aware, I had my front passenger side shock absorber leak out AHC fluid. Leak was from the absorber and not the O-ring. Shop recommended to change out O-rings/backups while installing new OEM shocks along with all the bushings/cushions in that region. Now I got everything for the front passenger side which leaked and is the main problem.

The driver side which is fine and not leaking, I am changing out as well, for the driver side I cannot located the above mentioned O-ring.

Only place I've found those gaskets have been on impex and amayama.com. waiting on some at the moment, myself. They haven't canceled my order yet but we'll see what happens. Of course they take a few weeks to get you the part.

I'm sure there's a non toyota gasket that would suffice but that's beyond me. If you find a non toyota one that works please post up the part/brand etc.

My order through amayama.com for this part was cancelled due to 'no longer available'. I have it ordered through Impex as well but I'd be surprised if that wasn't cancelled as well.

I recently ordered my supply of xxxxx-12003 from Partsouq. As I recall they didn't have many left and now wish I had ordered more.
Mine is a '99 so there was some discrepancy on the seals and one of them I may need is also NLA. Fortunately I was able to get both the "early" and "late" back-up rings. The 12003 is supposedly the post '02 o-ring which I was able to get, but the pre '02 19009 ring is NLA.
