what is your MPG

I avg'd more than 14.5 on a recent trail run totaling a little over 200 miles including 140+ miles on interstate at 80 mph and 40+ miles in 4lo. I am running 315s on stock gears and that was with 2 kids the wife and all associated crap. More to the point, you mentioned pulling a trailer with 3 atvs. Expect really really low mileage while you're doing that.

1997, 35s, stock gearing. I'll get anything from 8 - 14mpg. Depends on an awful lot of factors.

:meh:

Either most of you are full of s***, can't calculate or my rig is a POS. I get, religiously, 11.7-11.9 city/highway. No big deal to me, though.

About 10mpg around town, 12 hwy. A short commute helps ease the pain;)

I'm curious how people are getting 18 MPG on a rig that, when new, was listed as a 15 MPG rig. Is it because of advanced timing, better (cooler) air, other mods? Thanks.

Did you correct for the oversized tires?
What app is that?

Carminder. It lets you enter service intervals as well. It's nice because if you always enter your mileage the odometer reading is in there and it reminds you when to do things. I've been tracking my mileage for about 2 years. Other than highway miles, the biggest difference I notice is winter gas. My mileage drops about 2 mpg average during the winter.

@DARKNESS, yes that is with a 10% correction for the tires. Its actually a hair more but I quote on the more conservative side.

12.87 average mixed highway and city driving with hills. Heavily armoured front, belly, sides and rear. Aluminum roof rack with deflector and custom storage also built out of aluminum and plywood, 35's, 4.88's. Corrected calcs for speedo, and 172 on the clock. I drive like I can pass everyone so I could probably save a bit more if I took my boot out of it

howdy all, thought i'd contribute my experience since October last year.
so in Victoria, BC the city speed limit is 40km/hr; i happen to think it's the best city on gas. It's small, walkable, fun, safe and no winter!

if driving, i try to get up off the line while tranny's in 1H, getting momentum up quick, and then keep below 2000RPM climbing thru the gears.
- i'll also take overdrive off or use PWR button to climb hills in shorter time than bog down gulping gas in od at a snale's pace.

265/75/16 uniroyals laredo's. 293k.
FYI: around sea level not exceeding 65MPH
i'm getting 15MPG.
i've been adding in the Lucas injector/ MPG fuel additive, and just added some of the below (aka Murray's) to top up the oil 1000 km before my 1st oil change...
- i'm encouraging a new trend for 2015: Gal/year - who's having most fun on least fuel!?

damian.
ps. the stuff above is impressive and i've heard a few great reviews around town.
just googled this:
XM-5 OIL STABILIZER is a 100% petroleum lubricant: it is purely oil itself and contains no metal, graphite, wax or detergent additives.
- FWIW, the inventor, Murray i heard, would drive to tractor shows, empty his oil, and let naysayers idle around in his truck all day/ worked fine.
- now invent that additive for gas/ drain it = still runs !

Lots of input here. Well I filled up my tank yesterday for the first time. Kind of strange. It was burried on "E". Well below the white line. It got to 19gallons and shut off. I squeezed in another gallon before it spilled out. I thought all the tanks where 25.1gallons? I couldnt imagine there being another 5gallons of usable fuel in the tank since I drove it so long on "E". Hmm.

13 highway, 10 in town. 2" lift and 285s.
