Negatory--that's the AHC fluid tank... Lexus only (and LC '06). I kinda wish it wasn't there--that's a good spot for a 2nd battery.

Damm i feel dumb!!!! i thought an extra resivour!! glad i asked!! no way Land cruiser could have it?

You'd better go apologize to your mechanic now. :)

I'm not sure which wiring harness you are referring to. Perhaps the LC is wired for AHC but just doesn't have the components?

 I waz confused for a few minutes there. Thought you had the 470, not just the photo of it.

I don't have one of those tanks either.

Uhhhhhhhh.... I don't know. I'll have to take a look, which means probably this weekend since it sits in an underground garage a few blocks away.

Sometimes I hate living in the city.

I am not sure if our harnesses are the same. I have two connectors (labeled #1 in the pic). One is connected to the AHC height sensor. The other is connected to near the brake assembly--perhaps a speed sensor?

The second harness--I don't have or it is located somewhere else.

Macneill, You live IN Manhatten?

Yep, downtown in an area called Tribeca. Going on 12 years now. Crazy.

Finally starting to wear on me and the missus over the past year.

May have to do something about one of these days.

my LC has all the same conectors in the same spots......which happen to be the same connectors my LX has for the AHC system, so yeah it prolly wired up for it as the LC was sold in Japan with the AHC on some models.

and dude......this cracks me up :D

those wire are the AHC wire which is ready for the AHC components. you see toyota just make 1 harness regardless of the model of landcruiser of lx470. be smart! :)

Wow, gues I should read the whole thread befor making a conclusion. I thought that was your LX in the pic(but soon learned it wasnt). And trying to figure out why they would have removed that AHC fluid resivor to deal witht the brake issue(i'm assuming something to do with the brake booster??).Never seen a rig with out a AHC fluid resivor, kinda odd.

This is a Bad Azz thread:D Funny stuff Bad Azz bro!

I wonder how many years the harness is the same? Maybe 98-02 then new ones for 03-05 and 06? Just wondering about compatability.

McNeill,

Wish I could afford to live in Manhatten for a few years. What fun it would be. I can see it getting old after a while though. Maybe when we retire we will live in the city for a few years:idea:

My wife and I visited Manhatten during the summer of 2003 and had a wonderful time. We ate breakfast at a great little restaurant in Tribecca but I can't remember the name:doh:

Yes that is AHC fluid tank, but mine is '99 LC, and I have AHC.
