City driving the mileage counter gives 7 to 8 km to a liter of fuel on highway it get 9 to 10 KMS/ltr...

Wow, great information. On the lower side of Rick's numbers (7Km/L)= roughly 16.5 MPG and higher side (9KM/L)=21.7 MPG (conversion source: www.convert-me.com). Seems like a pretty different ball game from the thirsty 5.7L gasser. I'm sure built will change things but by how much we don't know. Yet.

Totally. Different. Game.

Anyone here willing to share fuel economy numbers with the gasser Stateside version, stock or built? I have not, nor have I heard of it being close. It'd be interesting to see our US gasser real world numbers to compare. Mine are between 12-14-ish.

That, and a guy could chip a VDJ to increase/enhance performance. Amazing.

Worst I got in my VDJ was 5km/L when I had my exhaust fitted so I was really gunning it a lot. Mild driving, I get about 6 to 6.5km/L in the city.

I believe that these trucks had TSB's on them for excessive oil consumption for some reason, at least I recall reading about it. That is a big concern/complaint of the fellas Downunder. I wonder if that complaint is for older VDJ200's or across the board.

Anyone from Oz/NZ or Europe care to comment?

Lots of loves above & beyond my 100...motor hp, very smooth ride, limited road noise, etc

Don't like:
keyless start...where do I put my keys, wife forgets to lock, etc
the gas fill is on passenger side
non-opening cargo area windows...wtf
no lighting on clamshell when opened to illuminate cargo area...(my 4r had light on liftgate)
