Well I am back from the Mickey Mouse Area(Orlando)

I was out for a week, and to tell you the truth, which is what this is about, I missed TEXAS. We drove for 2 days to Orlando, which help me to relax and come down a little bit.

During the traveling to Orlando I had to the antidepressant pills, no side effects but help out to deal w/ wife and Kids.

I can't blame the pills, but the only side effect was that at one point I was driving back on I-10 West instead of I-10 East got a little confuse by 30 miles to be exact. My wife was laughing bad. it was around 10:30pm and I was driving since 1:00pm more less Ja! Ja! We will never forget that.

To all of you, I appreciate your comments and support.

Coming back to Texas, I remember some of you. Before I could not relate to any one in Mississipi or Louisiana because I didn't know anybody in those states.

I got to enjoy my family and some time out of Texas, which makes me appreciate where I live and Where I am from. See Butch it's related BTW good video from George S. I am a fan and you almost make me cry. JA! Ja!

Cheers guys!

The strategy to keep stress down and brain and muscles working in coordination and harmony, I drink 2 beers before I go to bed. Works like a charm.

To Bodean: I don't qualify for that type of job anymore. Last week I could have been the perfect candidate. I am in the same type of job with the exceptions of the guns and the loose weight suit. I have to be available 24/7, 365 days. available and that means in my 5 senses for all that time. My job require a lot of planning and coordination between 2 countries. I am not the one holding the guns, but have in mind that the middle of the bridge it's no man's land and it becomes my problem when the govermental entities don't want to get involve. Yes sir! don't think that they only smuggle things into US side. Money laundry it's a common thing down here. how do you think money crosses to the Mexican side. the smmugglers are not Stupid and use this bridge. Yes sir, it's illegal and it's not easy to deal with car or Van when it abandoned on the bridge. This car or Van can be a bomb, full of drugs, illegal money or God knows what. Guess what happens to the driver if he get caugh? you win a trip to big house even if it ain't your goodies. down here it's not as bad as it sounds but have in mind that not everyone works at a bridge.

Gawd Damn I got so in volved in the explanation.

your inglish not necessary is the best. I have heard you say

"We was doing" That's not proper English Sir! and you don't hear me complain about you.

I really would like to go to another event. it's just to far for me to do the drive.

I don't have that many days left for wheeling trips. I got to plan very well for the next event. I'd liked to go to flat nasty but 17 hr. drive it's to damn far.
I am going to have to wait.

Thank ya sir. I wanted to share that video cause the man who sings the song is an acquaintance and I wanted to get him heard, then I didn't know where to post it. This Chapter seems to have the most Aggie mindset out of the Texas boards, and I was just hoping somebody was an Aggie.

This morning I am coming to work and the first things I see in our building are the US Flag, THE TEXAS flag and the Mexico Flag.

I am not familiar with flags from the other states, do they have one? On the small amount of times that I have been out of the state, I have not seen their flag as you enter the other states. Have in mind that when you cross the state line coming into TEXAS, the fist sign you see it's "Welcome to TEXAS" and the TEXAS Flag it's also on the sign.

Is this a unique thing from the state of Texas?

This last trip we made to Orlando,FL. it sure felt good when we cross the Texas State line and Yes Folks, the TEXAS flag was on that sign.

Assuming your question is serious, most of the states that were part of the Confederacy have flags based upon the Battle Flag of the Confederacy. Some of these state flags are VERY recognizable in their similarity to that flag. To be more politically correct, every one that has a strong resemblance to the Battle Flag of the Confederacy has a more "touristy" welcome sign, and uses a more universally acceptable (and recognizable), PC logo.

Florida for instance, displays an orange and uses the slogan "Welcome to the Sunshine State". Of the other former Confederate States whose state flag is directly based on the Battle Flag of the Confederacy:
  • Alabama uses the slogan "The Beautiful" accompanied by the state seal
  • Arkansas uses both the slogans "The Natural State" and "The Home of Bill Clinton".
  • Georgia uses either the slogan "The Peach State" or "We're Glad Georgia is on your mind" with a peach.
  • Mississipppi displays a Magnolia and uses the slogan "ONLY POSITIVE MISSISSIPPI SPOKEN HERE"

North Carolina is the only former Confederate State I know of that displays their flag on their border's welcome sign, because it bears no resemblance to the Battle Flag of the Confederacy- probably due largely to their reluctance at joining.

Offhand, Maryland, Arizona and New Mexico are some other states that display their flag on the border's welcome sign.

Sorry Kowpoke, but I'm a geek about this stuff... :D

Back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Chris that's a pretty good, and a reasonable explanation.
