Hi folks,

Planning a trip throughout Europe over the summer for around 3 weeks, nothing crazy but probably 3-4K miles.

It'll be leaving the UK, for France, Germany, Switzerland, with potential for Norway, Sweden and Denmark (not in that order necessarily, and we'll transit/stop in other countries too).

We'll have EU breakdown cover but I'd rather not rely on that, especially as decent garages that don't try and rob you are difficult to find, and our holiday would effectively be over.

What essentials would you take with you in terms of spares, fluids and tools?

I have a decent tool kit I'll bring, along with misc pry bars, torque wrench, impact driver, jack etc.

We've had a huge amount replaced on this car in the last year so suspension, brakes etc are all good (besides the potential for AHC to burst a line or something).

Engine wise I'm thinking about belts, and an alternator to bring with us, but all belts have been changed too.

I've got a couple of litres of AHC fluid, a new 10L bottle of coolant, and some oil too.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Thanks! Sorry - I didn't think to search!

2-4k miles, if its not anything with any real off-road and the truck is fully "perfect" then personally I would jump in the truck and go... That mileage is nothing..make sure you have a good spare tire.

With Balt - 3-4k miles unless I’m wheeling hard - not much - spare tire maybe a plug kit - local dealerships are all over they will have emergency needs
I do have a plug kit as well (shouldn’t say out loud that I’ve never had a flat in the 100)…but the spare would be used first.

I'd bring something to check a CEL. Also, I'd have a spare coil.
