Wonder if anyone would be interested in this mirror. It is mounted on the US Driver side fender right about the corner lense. I may be getting one for myself or anyone who is interested. I have seen some mudders here has that mirror on their cruiser. Any feed back will be great.

I used to want one of these really bad. Now I'm not so sure... It is a nice accessory and definitely a quirky addition, but I can't imagine if it is actually useful or not.
Keep in mind they are designed to give the Driver(on the RH side) a better view of the rear.

Also, it would be really easy to get one caught in the brush(or a drive through carwash) and get it torn off. Also, how does it mount to the US fenders? There should be a small reinforcement in the fender to hold it in place...

I would definitely be in for a set of clear Corner and Turn signal lights as shown in your pictures though...

Just my $0.02

I see myself clipping it off within 2 weeks of install (accidentally, forgetting it was there)

Cardona made a good point too - for it to be worthwhile we would need it on the RH fender-and a $4 cat-eye mirror sticker on the passenger mirror fixes that.
My opinion.

Other than Bling factor, 2 of the other reasons I like is to eliminate the blind spot and the ability to tilt it down so I can monitor the left front tire and fender in tight turn trail such as Scholfiend Pass at Colorado, so I have better control and wouldn't slide off to the river:eek:

As for being torn off in the brush, it may be a concern. It seems quite durable. It is mounted with bolt and nut and the mount is contoured to the fender for tight and sturdy fitment. I think it may be a good idea for me to get one and play with it so I can provide you guys with more info. :)

Uhhh....move to England (don't they vote today?), or Japan then.

Or rock a Post Office Heep.

Any of those work for ya?

Oh, gotcha - thought you were trying to go all "JDM purist" on us out of nowhere. (@ NLX) - like the kids with older Skylines, etc.

Yeah, I'm with ya - between knocking it off & it being on the wrong side for our LHD 80's - it just is bling without any reason for me.
Even one on the RH fender wouldn't be useful to my style - I kick a spotter out if I'm scared of something. That's what my nephew is for anyhow;)

You won't see anything sitting in the driver's seat, trust me. The angle is wrong. It only swivels side to side and doesn't tilt down. At least my OEM Toyota mirror for the 4runner didn't.

I've got one, it doesn't swivel down, so the angle is all wrong for a LHD vehicle. It's only of any use on a RHD vehicle in a LHD world for parking on the left side of a one-way street, or monitoring where the dotted line is to your left while driving (which you get used to within a few days of driving RHD in a LHD world). My last HDJ81 didn't have one, and I didn't miss it from my Surf before it.

Here's mine....never even look at the thing really..

Even on a RHD it's plain useless. With the distance across the hood, the small size, and aberration of the glass make it impossible to make any kind of judgement with any kind of certainty. Maybe my eyes are just old and tired..

On a LHD..... Meh....whatever makes your bum hum.

Isn't it for parallel parking a rhd rig? Just enough to see the curb?
