Tired of SPC not honoring their warranty claim. 2x their UCA under performed. This time I went with Freedom Offroad UCA and their "No question ask" policy/warranty.

Damn. You're a glutton for punishment. I was just preaching about this on my thread. All those companies are garbage. You just traded one joker in for the other one. There's a reason why Solo Motorsports, Camburg, Total Chaos, MCM, Baja Kits... there's a reason why those companies exist and outsell. They are racing companies. Pure and simple. Their RND comes from racing experience, Additionally, those companies employ individuals that understand off road suspension geometry. Geometry is literally what you're paying for. When you buy a reputable upper control arm or have one custom fabbed for you, you're getting correct geometry. You're also getting a 1" uniball which is never going to break unlike the ball joint. Albeit, UBJ failure is not as common on Toyotas as the LBJ but regardless it's the same principle. Maybe Freedom is a little better than SPC which I would never consider buying but you're still counting on Freedom not having their head up their ass. Freedom might have just taken a reputable UCA and made a jig and then made "their own" UCA and it could be great for $510 for all I know.... BUT the downside is if they didn't and they didn't get the geometry on the uniball cup correct and cycled the suspension well enough to accomodate for bump steer and or camber change throughout the cycle then.... You have a Freedom off road UCA bro.

To end my rant. Solo Motorsports and said companies have holiday sales every year and this year, a couple of weeks ago, I looked at Solo during their Christmas Sale and their UCA's were $650 from the normal of $800 or about. Who am I trusting more, Bobby and CO. down at SOLO Moto. who races Baja and has been developing race parts since the middle 2000's or Freedom Off Road??????????? for $150?!

Maybe we should just call Josh at First gen offroad. I'm sure he's the nicest guy in the world but I'm sorry, there's 69 guys on Dezert Rangers or Bad Lines Good Times forums that I would rather take suspension advice from than Josh at 1genoffroad.com BRO. Every time I see a post where a guy is like man, called Josh at first gen off road and he said I "NEEDED" the SPC or Freedom UCA I slap myself in the forehead with my hand. Who am I trusting more, Josh or guys out in AZ CALI NEV when it comes to suspension?

Great info...
1st gen was where I bought them SPC from. Yes Josh felt bad that 2x SPC had let me down. I saved $ on Freedom and the job was a banana so taking a chance on an already cheap UCA is a gamble I'm willing to take. There are more options for the tacos and 4runners but 1st gen trees -not so much. Total Chaos don't make sequioa UCA otherwise i would've went with them.

I'm just going to go out on a limb here and say that you heard that from Josh right?! SMH. You have the most information ever in the history of mankind at your fingertips my brother. You are incorrect about Total Chaos but WTF would I know. In fact, I don't know anything. I just read. But here brother, check out this page...

and SORRY I was wrong about the "regular" price. They are $900 not 8 and change like I said. My bad dog.

You know why I hear there's not too much for the FIRST GEN TREES is because that's what everyone says so why bother searching the internet. Any company that makes anything for the Tundra will work with your Sequoia. So yes, all the companies that I just listed have suspension kits and or control arms for your vehicle and I should also include BTF Fabrication. This is America. You have personal freedom here. You're allowed to spend your money on whatever you wish.

I installed TC UCAs on mine in 2019. Just ordered my first set of bushings to freshen up. Order for the Tundra, be sure to trim back the bucket or it will rub

@J4roe Hows the fitment? Do the arms clear the bucket. I’ve read that problem was solved.

All this UCA talk and I'm over here jealous that your 80 fits in your garage...

LOL I was thinking the same thing.

@efjayatee can I ask how did you notice spc were going bad? I have them on my ‘21 tundra with 3” OME lift, seem ok.
(I don’t race but the truck has been on the Baja 1000 course haha)

Clunking during up/down travel and this time the bushings is the culprit. This time around only wash boards and fire trails were encountered.
2022 I used it to a more aggressive trails like Coral Hollow, Sour grass and death valley Lippincot, Titus canyon and such.....that caused the UCA to contact the frame. Doing 50 on the wash boards prob didn't help either.

Be careful out in winter conditions!

Took the Sequoia skiing today and a BMW X5 with X drive (I'm assuming it's their AWD system) slid down the into the front of the truck. Luckily the CBI bumper + bull bar took the brunt of the impact, leaving only 2 minor scratches on the bumper, which I believe the PPF protected.

2nd Pic is after the incident occurred.
