Exactly what the title says "what are the gas prices in your area?

this is the reason why

My vacation time it's coming and since I am trying to make a decision where to go North (US) or South(Mexico) this will help me out to decide what direction to take.

Gas prices in the US are not necessarly cheap but in this case to my fortune I am near the border and I can travel south with out having to pay hi prices on gas.

I am sure it won't be a problem for this White Trash member blending in in Mexico since I 've been told that I look like a Mexican.

anyways

gas prices around here
$3.85/gal cheapy one, add $0.10 for the other ones, and for those running Diesel trucks ? $4.55/gal

gas prices in Mexico about $3.10 per gal and diesel it's about $2.86/gal how so you like that Bodean?

Damnit JP! You Meskins got it made! About $4.59 for diesel around here. Our Govt. sucks!

Later,

Thanks for tip guys! I know it's a no brainer, but I still like to take the family vacations in the states.

For those w/ diesel trucks, let me tell you what"s happening here at border.

I had a meeting yesterday w/ Port Dir of US Customs, He was telling us that some people are bringing Diesel in those extra tanks they carry on their bed from across the border.

Another thing mentioned by US Customs was that the shrimp boats are not bringing shrimp from the Gulf of Mexico, guess what their bringing, you got it, they are bringing diesel from Tampico, Mexico that's about 6 hrs south from here, of coarse this is illegal

One of our contractor goes fill up his truck and spare tank for half of what it takes to fill up here in the US.

another body of mine told me that the price for diesel is $2.10/ gal, this is confirmed and he drives an 06 dodge.

Stay outta California.... (I know you have alot of family here :D)

Reg unleaded running $4.69+ and Diesel is $5.55+

Good thing I dont gotta drive to work....

Chris:cool:

Jesus Christ! your gas prices are outrageous

We wanted to go to visit Mickey Mouse agaain but now the one that lives near by you.

We also wanted to go to San Francisco but w/ those kind of prices we have no chance.

Sorry Chris, I really wanted to come and visit

I bet the diesel across the border isn't ULSD either. Can anyone confirm that? It's sad but I thought I got a deal when I filled the Dodge up @ $4.48 today. They have us conditioned to think that's low.

Later,

I am looking into that Bodean.

I don't know much about the diesel trucks much less about the types of diesels.

A buddy of mine just bougth one of them new Ford Super Duty and he was asking me the same thang.

previous conversation w/ a buddy of mine, who does upgrades to the diesel trucks, mentioned to me that should not be a problem.

I'll keep you post it.

Well JP, if it's a new Ford then he has to run the ULSD because of the particulate filter.

Later,

Just got back from Lake Tahoe area. Slipped across the border into NV, where regular was 4.07. 60 miles south of there back in CA in Bridgeport, regular was 5.29!

4.47 this morning in L.A.

:meh:

Mark you guys pay a lot more for gas than any other place.

Well, someone screwed up but I don't care! I filled up with diesel at a Texaco station here in town a few days ago for $3.57 a gal!!! It's $4.05 everywhere else. They fixed it today. I'm sure someone got fired.

Later,

I have no idea prices in the states were that high

We pay about US$1.75 a gallon in UAE. I currently burn up as much as I can, because back home in Oz it is about the same as you pay.

Bodean you sure went and complaint about the mistake, right?

I'll tell you, this here group makes me fit in.

here's something funny!

Guess what the Mexicans Customs are doing now.

According to my MEX Customs Source(Wife) they are confiscating trucks with the extra diesel tanks on

the bed of the trucks. Wife came last night and told me 3 good ol' boys from Brownsville had been

detained for having those tanks in back w/ diesel.

I told her they can't do that! She said "yes they can."

word got out to the central office of the Mex Customs that US citizens were smuggling diesel to the US since it's cheaper in Mexico. So they gave the order to stop those US citizens, fine them and seize their trucks.
Believe me it does become a nightmare to get your vehicle back.

US Customs can't do anything about the trucks w/ xtra tanks full of diesel but them Mexicans can now.

I can't belived that. Those Mexican Customs don't want to do s*** about those people smuggling cars into Mexico but they are confiscating trucks w/ xtra diesel tanks when they leave the country.

any ways

gas prices are down here in Brownsville reg 3.56 med 3.62 and mighty fine 3.72.

Diesel still expensive 4.56

Prob'ly got them fuel tanks slapped plum full of that super-addictive crack cocaine. :hhmm:

... or maybe some of the Mes'kins cousins. :grinpimp:

Maybe it's got to do with quantity Chris??

For example ... haulin beer ain't illegal ... unless you haul 50 cases of Shiner to Pismo Beach for Surf-N-Turf ... believe that's called bootleggin'.

:flamingo:
