What about the 91 v6?

I am looking at a truck and it has a v6, 5sd. I had always planed to get a 22re but this is a rael clean truck and the price is right.
What do you guys think?

Other than the fact that they have a bad history with head gaskets, they are a total PITA to work on, they get lousy mileage, and are sorely underpowered, they're a great engine. I've owned 2 of them, hope to never have one again.

My guess is the 91 is as bad as the 88 through 95 (the entire batch). I'd say run it until it's legs drop off, then go 4.3 Chevy V6 with 4L60E tranny. If you ever want info on this swap, call---
