Can anyone tell me it the West Harrison lake road is open up to Lilloet lake? Were planning a round trip for next weekend starting in Kamloops, through lilloet, stop at sloquet hot springs, down to Mission and back on the Coq. When I tried this 2 years ago the road down Harrison lake was closed for the winter. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks
Phil

Open all the way- drove it last Thursday.

I'll be interested to hear if any rebuilding work has been done at Sloquet. Heard the hot springs got washed out by some high water this year.

FYI
West Harrison is now the Sts'ailes FSR (means Chehalis).

There is a small hydro plant going in at the top end of Harrison Lake, road has been improved at very top end - lot of construction equipment.

The road is in quite good shape, although a little rough south of the new hydro plant. Word is they are widening and re-grading the road from the duffy lake rd all the way to Agassi in prep for paving. This is going to be the alternate route to whistler..... Going to be bad for the hot springs.

We got to the sloquet thursday night and the campground was full to overflowing by friday afternoon. People were even setting their tents up on the road or just off in the trees wherever they could. Very busy weekend, and the camp attendant said skookumchuck was even worse. He said over 275 campers there and most couldnt even get into the tubs. I think its time to find a new "remote" hot springs to go to, if one exists anymore.

The latest round of road improvements are nearly over on the In-SHUCK-ch (spent about $8.5 million). The small hydro development is improving the road around Tretheway Creek, but that is for their industrial use - also Bremner and Trio creeks are getting small hydro projects. The In-SHUCK-ch First Nation are applying for more funding to make the road safer, but paving is many years away.

My future uncle-in-law is the one grading that stretch and says its just for improvements for logging, not paving

Yup, did this route just last week!

Make sure to tune into the local VHF channel (Resource Road) and call out your KM... a LOT of traffic on that road during the week.
